MOVIE REVIEW: THE A TEAM (12A)

SLIDERS REVIEW:

Forget The A Team I’m calling this film The A star Team. If you’re looking for the action movie for this summer then this is it, just sheer entertainment. The film was directed by Joe Carnahan and I say if anyone wants to know what an action film should be like then watch this one. The director is known for his action resume as you will be able to tell if you have seen his 2006 Smokin’ Aces. He knows how to replaces sex in a movie with bullets, bad guys and a plan you didn’t see coming.

It sort of reminded me of The Losers that came out earlier this year because the A Team would make a plan and intercept it without much going wrong. It would be a swift in and out operation thanks to their leaders planning. The four lead roles consists of Liam Neeson as John “Hannibal” Smith, Bradley Cooper as Templeton “Face” Peck, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as Bosco Albert “Bad Attitude” Baracus & Sharlto Copley as “Howling Mad” Murdock. The fun thing about watching these four was they had their own characters. Their different traits made the team work. I like watching films that when I see a character I can say yep that’s your role, you executed it perfectly. All four of them did just that.

The shootouts, car chases, explosions, fight scenes with added comedy make this very enjoyable to watch. The story itself is good and I followed it right to the end. On a bad note logic has been thrown away in this film due to the stunts performed but then again that’s what most action films are all about nowadays.
“I Love When A Plan Comes Together” is the end catchphrase for this film but ill counter it by saying I “I Love it When A Action Film Comes Together”

MY STAR RATINGS OUT OF 5:  4.5++++~

ONE FAVOURITE MOMENT IN THE FILM:
The scene where they have been blown out of the plane and are in a tank crashing back to earth. Hannibal comes up with the idea to shoot cannons at different angles in a way of directing the tank as it falls out the sky and also to cushion their landing. The idea looks very creative on screen and is food for any watchers eyes.

(if you loved another moment in the film, please feel free to tell me in the comments)

SYNOPSIS:

A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.
