MOVIE REVIEW: NEVER LET ME GO (12A)

"BEAUTIFUL"
SLIDER’S REVIEW:
Never Let Me Go is a British film that’s based on a Kazou Ishiguro’s Novel. Directed by Roman Romanek (same guy that brought us One Hour Photo, 2002) its starring Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley, Andrew Garfield, Sally Hawkins, Charlotte Rampling, Nathalie Richard, Domhnall Gleeson & Andrea Riseborough.

Here’s another movie the British can be proud of. It’s basically about Love, Jealousy, Hope & The acceptance of Death. The drama on screen comes with a lot of sad & heart-breaking feelings. Even I didn’t think it was possible to put so much different types of emotion in one film.  It doesn’t let the audience into too much of the story leaving me in the dark and making me think.  The Screenplay and Cinematography is great to watch. Haven’t said that I found it hard to decide if I loved it or hated it. (Marmite moment). But after understanding the concept of the film I did like it because of the deep and meaningful concept.  It captures life from a different perspective. if the novel is as moving as this film then its a Must Watch. Films like this are for the majority but not everyone.

The performance of the actors and actress was simply amazing. I really liked Cathy’s (Mulligan) character. She plays a person that a lot of women can relate to when love is the topic. She is an amazing actress and really stood out. Ruth (Knightley) & Tommy (Garfield) both do a brilliant job in their roles. Their emotions look very genuine. The movie is very solemn and I know that’s exactly what they were going for.

This came out around Valentines but don’t be fooled into thinking you can take a girl to see this film for the 14th of Feb.. It’s not exactly the “Seal The Deal” type of film. #JustSaying
MY STAR RATINGS OUT OF 5:  3.5
+++~
ONE FAVOURITE MOMENT IN THE FILM:

When Tommy (Garfield) get out the car after his disappointed news.
