FILM REVIEW: DESPICABLE ME (U)

SLIDER’S REVIEW:

WHAT A MINION SIZED FAMILY FUN MOVIE THIS IS.

Kids will love it in laughter and so will the adults. Despicable Me is about a supervillain called Gru who adopts three orphan girls inorder to use them as bait for his dirty work. As he gets close to the girls he realises that he likes himself as a father figure.

This computer animation 3D film Directed by Pierre Coffin & Chris Renaud is a good enough excuse to go to the cinema. The characters are very entertaining and the use of 3D hasn’t been this effective since Avatar. Just the having the Minions on screen messing around & hitting eachother was hilarious.

The storyline sends a message to hold on to the most important things in life, I like the message because its light & heartwarming and doesn’t spoil the cuteness of the movie. Steve Carell’ is just a natural at these sorts of movies, his voice was made for the animation scene and he’s just a funny man. Jason Segel (Marshall from E4’s How I Met Your Mother) is in this movie playing Gru's arch enemy Vector. His character was very well played.

#Dont be surprised if the kids want to see this more than once.
