MOVIE REVIEW: CARS 2 (2D) (3D)

"ODD STORYLINE AIMED AT KIDS"

Cars 2 is an Action Adventure Animated Comedy Produced By Pixar & Directed by John Lasseter (same guy that helped bring us Toy Story 3). Star race car Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater head overseas to complete in a World Grand Prix race. On the way they get caught up on their own intriguing adventure: International espionage. 
Its Starring (Voices of) Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, Eddie Izzard, John Issaacs, Thomas Kretcschmann, Joe Mantegna, Peter Jacobson, Lewis Hamilton & Bonnie Hunt.

THE REVIEW:

From the success of Cars had to come Cars 2. (i was thinking that)--> Pixar have come to dazzle us once again with their front car Lightning McQueen and the rest of the cool cars, each with their own aura. From the trailer i got a sense of a majorly fun action adventure that kids will love and humor the adults will also enjoy. #SoFarSoGood.


After watching this film i must say i was only impressed by the animation because it is very well done, the 3D was brilliant to watch, the attention to detail is food for anyone's eyes.  
Some ADULT (not kids) are the going to like the storyline, its a Mix of Spies, Hit Men, Car Races, Strong Friendships & World Saving all rolled into one film. There's alot the cars go through and its got some comedy blended in. I found it engaging only because it was odd. (if that makes sense)
We have to remind ourselves that this is an animation movie aimed at kids so why is the storyline something taken out of a Spy movie?. Its all good parents going to the cinema with their kids to have a good time as a family but it will be a awkard moment when the adults understood more about the film than the kids themselves, it has an unnecessary complex nature.

Pixar forgot about the kids and just focused on making the most of out of a odd storyline which doesnt even focus on the main character, more on Mater. This should definatley go down in the books as a bad film from Pixar (had to be said). Anyone going to watch this film because of the success of the first Cars will come out red faced & confused because its not the same thing. Also parents might become weary because its not as jolly & light as the first one, this one went a little bit past the PG rating (naughty). The amount of weapons being blasted on screen is ridiculous, i wont be surprised if there's complaints.

OVERALL: Not as good as the First one.

FAVOURITE MOMENT IN THE FILM:
Most of Mater's (Larry the Cable) sense of humor.
