"SPECTACULAR EFFECTS"
X Men: First Class is a superhero film directed by Matthew Vaughn (same guy that brought us Kick Ass, 2010) its 1963 & Charles Xavier has started up a school for humans with superhuman abilities, he then later teams up with them. Amongst them is Erik Lensherr, his best friend and future archenemy. Its Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Bill Milner, Kevin Bacon, Rose Bryne, Jennifer Lawrence, Beth Goddard, Morgan Lily, Oliver Platt, Alex Gonzalez, Jason Flemyng, Zoe Kravitz, January Jones & Nicholas Hoult.
THE REVIEW:
You know its exciting times at the cinema when Marvel Comic brings forth a fifth instalment & prequel of X Men. This film focuses on how these great superheroes come to form and how particular events changed them forever.
I was very impressed by this film, because of the acting, story and especially the CGI. The special effects look brilliant and merged into the films with such ease. This is probably one of the best films out in 2011. (yep it’s that good) These mutants we get introduced to show off their powers and really dazzle in their elements. I also enjoyed following the story because it’s before all X Men films we had seen before, director Vaughn does a brilliant job in showing how everyone connects and how the rivalry between Professor X & Magneto begins. The film also makes one think of other X Men films and how picturing how everything connects to each other.
As a whole it’s exciting and entertaining to watch with kickass fight scenes, the surprises along the way marvelled me and the audience. The characters bring the story to life effortlessly. This is one summer flick that holds its own and is very watchable. Anyone doubting this film will be gobsmacked on how much fun there is on screen.
The acting was actually First Class (if you pardon the pun) Professor X (McAvoy) is such a superb actor, everything about him from what he says and how he thinks gives off this leadership quality only a few can pull off on screen. I saw qualities in him that Patrick Stewart also had. Magneto (Fassbender) is one bad mother***** he is one dangerous character with a very strong abilities and revenge in mind. I for one loved his powers. Shaw’s (Bacon) special effects were one of the best ones to look at, the way he can absorbs energy looks amazing on screen and he was an evolved form of a baddie. The rest of the mutants were great characters who showed helped effectively in their fight. Every character had the likeable effect, weather good or bad. Look out for the cameo. #BrilliantCast.
OVERALL: Top 3 Movie of 2011 so far.

The scene where Magneto finds Shaw in the submarine.
