THE REVIEW:
Watching this fantasy horror flick Slides and Smalls can say that we have not seen a film this scary in a long time. From the advert it looks like same old have a scary looking child in the typical ‘house horror’ but this one is different (it’s not cheesy at all). The setting of the whole story is just perfect, the normal husband and wife with their kids in a big haunted house that’s dark and nobody knows what’s behind the door let alone who’s knocking at 2am in the morning (prefect targets wouldn’t you say?). It doesn't get boring because of the multiple twist and turns it takes (a lot of things even we didn’t see coming). As we go along we uncover more and more about the story. The suspense build as it just catches anyone watching with perfect timing (we jumped lots of times). If there was ever a question that ‘can horror films be scary without blood?’ then Insidious would be the perfect answer.
The music helped a lot and so did the characters, as a whole it just works because of how scary it looks, the production was brilliant. It’s worth going to see because it’s entertaining and very scary (what more could you ask for). Director James Wan sets the bar on how to make horror films. It has that original feel to it. #Refreshing.
Everybody in this film does their job in portraying their character. Wilson, Bryne, Hershey, Simpkins & Astor all pull of concrete performances that held it all together.
OVERALL:
Very Scary Horror Film. (Advice to see it people and not alone)

ONE FAVOURITE MOMENT IN THE FILM:
The scene Where Renai (Byrne) goes to find her husband Josh (Wilson) at the end of the film. She hears some noise whilst feeding her son at the dinner table.
