THE REVIEW:
HALLELUJAH! Its what we have all been waiting for in the cinema. April is here & the countdown is finally over. Marvel Studios are ready to stop hugging these superheros and show us what they have been keeping from the world. The Avengers assemble and boy do they assemble. This is one amazing movie and brilliant adoption of a comic book, YES i said it. From all the action on screen to the geniously placed comedy lines, i just couldn't get enough. I don't think i have ever enjoyed myself so much in 143 minutes. The last time i had half this much fun was watching the third installment of Transformers. I don't say things about films unless it true so believe me when i say "GRAB YOUR 3D GLASSES (should be somewhere in your drawer or underneath the sofa) AND HEAD TO YOUR NEAREST CINEMA"
The answer to my own question: "does it get any better than this?" is NO. I don't know how they can out do this film, it just oozes awesomeness. Riddled with famous faces, packed with a script where everyone shines and then had the audacity to showoff  some badass action scenes. Watching multiples Superheros & Gods link up to go bonkers at each other with different fighting styles & in the future technology is exactly what you get here. The special effects set the bar once again for action films and the storyline is so interesting that it just kept on getting better as time flies by. Avengers went in the cinema with the highest of expectations but the way it shines it shuts up any doubter. From the opening scenes the dialogue and cinematography is a joy to marvel at. Silly costumes or not, this is a triumph. Hats off to you Joss Whedon.

Each superhero had their own special moments, these actors/actresses bring life to these characters very well. Robert Downey Jr has the charisma, charm and the funny lines just seem to drop out of his mouth effortlessly. Samuel L. Jackson is a brilliant Nick Fury, he was very believable, he was a leader.Its been what never since i seen a man wear an eye patch and look that cool. I was not biggest fan of Chris Evans solo Captain America: The First Avenger film but after his performance in this film i think he deserves all the credit he can get. The #StarOfTheShow award will have to go to Mike Ruffalo just because of The Hulk. That green monster was the best superhero, so ruthless, so destructive and somehow so entertaining. Scarlett Johansson has always been a beautiful woman, she plays Black Widow. A women who's got the looks and can give out a serious can of whoop ass. She was dangerous and psychological. I for one is very pleased to see actress Cobie Smulders (Robin from How I Met Your Mother) make the billing for this. She was great and i'm sure we will be seeing more of her on the big screen. Tom Hiddleston must not be left without a mention, he was a great evil character who had his own shine in parts of the film. As a collective the cast was on point.

The amounts of money Walt Disnep & Marvel are going to make is going to break a few records, i can tell already.
OVERALL:  WILL BE THE BEST FILM OUT FOR A WHILE.

MOVIE REVIEW: THE DIVIDE (18)

"ABSOLUTE MADNESS"
+++~
The Divide is a science fiction thriller film directed by Xavier Gens (same guy that brought us Hitman, 2007). This film centres survivors of a nuclear attack, they are grouped together for weeks in the basement of their apartment building, were fear and dwindling supplies wear away at their dynamic. Its starring Laura German, Michael Biehn, Milo Ventimiglia, Courtney B. Vance, Ashton Holmes, Rosanna Arquette, Ivan Gonzalez, Michael Eklund & Abbey Thickson.

#FilmFact: Melissa George, Seann William Scott, Robert Patrick and Raphaƫl Personnaz were originally going to star in this project.

THE REVIEW:
The moment i saw the trailer for The Divide i knew i wanted to watch it, this looked serious and entertaining (i hope im right). A group of surivors locked in an confined space after a nuclear attack with just about enough living supplies. The little action scenes included in the trailer also seemed promising.

After i watched this film i was very suprised on how everything unfolded. I was not expecting such a disturbing & gruesome turn of events. Its starts off as anyone could predict with the nuclear attack & panic but as soon as the dust settles and reality kicks in, their characters normal state starts to fade to insanity. This is definately not for the faintharted, as some scenes will mess your head. I found myself looking away at least two to three times, the horrific scenes are uncomfortable to watch. The way Director Xavier Gens manages to capture the human behaviour in such a crazy & horrific way has to be an achievement.
The drama is engaging & very well written. As the film moves along it got crazier and crazier. The storyline speed was well paced all the way to its inevitable end. This was front row seats  to see how society was gradually evaporating in front of our eyes. When fear is the only emotion avaliable, people do the most insane things.

Under 18's wont last an hour watching this & some adults may not have the stomach for it either. We don't like to think that people are capable of certain things, but in extreme conditions people can be pushed to do the unimaginable. All the characters were great on screen ,there was no slackers. Everyone gave it their all. This is one of the best sci fi films ive seen lately. This film might not catch attention at first but in time it will be a serious talking point. It demands attention and deserves it.

OVERALL:  NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED.
